Hard disk drives on computers and digital devices are extremely durable and reliable. That is, physically durable. In terms of file corruption all of these devices including Apple iPods are quite susceptible to what is known as a logic crash. A logic crash occurs when files used to access other files as part of an operating system become corrupted. The obvious solution is to reload the operating system. In the case of an Apple iPod this means to reset the iPod. But reloading an OS or resetting an iPod results in the stored files been deleted. Still what choice does one have?
The solution is to go ahead and reset your iPod but then connect your iPod to a PC onto which you have loaded Remo Software’s digital media recovery utility to recover deleted iPod files.
